Forbes Middle East has released its annual list of the region’s most influential businesswomen for 2023 with 27 nationalities across 27 sectors represented.
Emirati businesswoman, Hana Al Rostamani, Group CEO of the First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), moved two spots to land first place this year while Raja Easa Al Gurg, Chairperson and Managing Director of Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group, came in second place.
Lubna S. Olayan, Chair of the Saudi British Bank Chair of the Executive Committee, and Deputy Chair of Olayan Financing Company came in third overall and highest-ranked Saudi on the flagship annual Forbes Middle East list for 2023.
Emirati and Egyptian women dominate the list, with 15 and 12 entries, respectively. They are followed by Saudi with 11 listees, Kuwait with eight, and Lebanon, Oman, and Qatar with six each, Forbes Middle East highlighted in their press release.
Banking and financial services made up 23 of the 100 listees while diversified conglomerates and the investments industry followed with 11 and eight female business leaders, respectively.
